Diskölöka is an event coordination team, primarily made up of young people from the town of Škofja Loka. Our goal is to create modern electronic music and organize events, featuring Diskölöka's resident artists as well as prominent DJ names from Slovenia and abroad.

The original story of Diskölöka started with a desire. A desire for something different, something new, a desire for originally conceived and well-executed events that would liven up the sometimes sleepy but beautiful medieval town of Škofja Loka through fresh electronic beats.

To that end, a team of Škofja Loka local youth was assembled, united by a common goal - to create quality modern electronic music events in their hometown.

It all started with a small event in the summer of 2018 in the center of Škofja Loka. The response from the local community was overwhelmingly positive, so our story soon continued and expanded. To date, the Diskölöka team has successfully organized several open-air events at the Škofja Loka Castle courtyard, a Diskölöka winter sensation under a heated tent, and hybrid events with live streaming of music in several pubs and bars around town, with a total of several thousand visitors.

The most prominent part of the team are, of course, the DJs - the music creators. At this moment in time, the Diskölöka DJ crew currently consists of 12 residents. But Diskölöka is not just about parties and music, Diskölöka is a community. Therefore, our team also includes many other individuals who contribute in different ways - maintaining the public image of Diskölöka and taking care of public relations, running the catering services at events, preparing the venues and technical equipment, providing promotional material, ensuring cooperation with other organizations within the local community… the list goes on and on.
